Choosing a class
The age recommendations outlined for Kindermusik classes have been carefully constructed to best group children in an age and developmentally appropriate way. Therefore, it is recommended that your child be at least the minimum age by the start of the semester for the class in which you are enrolling. If you have concerns about your child’s success in a particular age range, we can discuss his/her needs and place your child in the class best suited for him/her.Payment
Payments may be made online with a credit card. If you would like to pay by check, please contact Manda for the payment address. There will be a fee for returned checks.Register Early
Although you may join a class at any time, please register early since class sizes are limited and many fill quickly. Registering at least three weeks before the semester begins also ensures that I will have your child’s materials for you at your first class. A registration form and payment must be received before enrollment can be confirmed. You will receive a phone call, email or mailed notice within two weeks to confirm your registration.Sibling Discounts
Siblings receive a 10% discount off the tuition fee. A sibling that is enrolled in the same class will receive an at-home materials sibling kit which will result in a lower materials cost.Making the Most of Kindermusik Classes
Please plan to arrive about 5 minutes early for class. This will give your child time to settle into the musical environment. I ask that you please keep toys and juice cups out of sight and that snacks be finished before coming to class.
Be sure to dress comfortably. We will be removing our shoes and moving in many different ways.
I love for parents to visit before or after class, but please keep it to a minimum during class time! When you are an active, focused, enthusiastic participant in the class activities, your child will model your actions and focus more fully, too.
It is okay if your child is hesitant in the group environment. If your child cannot focus on the present activity--don’t worry, but do actively attempt to help them refocus or quietly engage them in participating in their own way. If your child becomes disruptive (screaming or running - it happens to all of us) please step outside of the classroom to give your child a moment to calm down. Please come back in as soon as you can!
You and your child will benefit enormously from the Kindermusik experience, especially if you make active use of your At Home Materials. Reinforcement and enjoyment of the Kindermusik materials at home during the week make all the difference in a child’s comfort and security in the classroom.
Most of all, have fun! Your child is going to grow in many ways and you will both end the semester with new friends.
